Opening Disclaimer

A Record They Tried to Erase

This series is a personal narrative and archival record created for expressive and informational purposes only.

All statements reflect my personal experiences, perceptions, recollections, opinions, and beliefs at the time they are expressed. They are not presented as verified facts, findings, or conclusions about any individual, organization, institution, or event, nor should they be interpreted as such.

Nothing in this series is intended to allege wrongdoing, assert criminal or civil liability, defame, threaten, harass, or target any person or entity. References to individuals, agencies, systems, or institutions are made solely within the context of my personal experience and without assertion of intent, motive, or legal responsibility.

This content does not constitute legal, medical, psychological, or professional advice. Viewers and listeners are encouraged to seek qualified professionals for guidance relevant to their own circumstances.

Certain details may be intentionally omitted, generalized, or altered to protect privacy, comply with legal considerations, and ensure personal safety. The inclusion or exclusion of any detail should not be interpreted as proof, admission, or implication of any kind.

This record is shared for the purposes of personal expression, preservation of lived experience, and public discourse, and should be understood within that limited scope.

Listener and viewer discretion is advised. Some content may be emotionally difficult.

In this episode, I want to be very clear about what this record is, why it exists, and what it is not—because clarity is protection, and confusion has been used against us for far too long.

What This Record Is

This record is documentation.

It is the careful preservation of facts, experiences, timelines, decisions, and outcomes that affected me and my child. It includes what happened, how it happened, and what the impact was—emotionally, mentally, physically, and legally.

It includes:

  • Verifiable facts where records exist

  • Firsthand experiences where records are missing or incomplete

  • Emotional and psychological realities that cannot be separated from the events

  • Thoughtful analysis meant to connect patterns, not invent narratives

This record is deliberate, descriptive, and logical.

Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is said casually. Everything is spoken with awareness of its weight.

What This Record Is Not

This is not entertainment.

This is not speculation.

This is not retaliation.

And this is not an attempt to provoke outrage for attention.

This record is not about character attacks or labeling people as villains.

It is about actions, decisions, systems, and outcomes.

Where opinion or interpretation exists, it will be clearly identified as such.

Where facts are known, they will be stated plainly.

Where uncertainty exists, it will be acknowledged.

Truth does not need exaggeration.

Why Documentation Matters

When records disappear, when voices are dismissed, when disability is misunderstood or exploited, when a child is separated without clarity—documentation becomes the only protection left.

This record exists because silence did not protect us.

Compliance did not protect us.

Trust in systems alone did not protect us.

What protects is truth that is preserved.

Disability and Power

Disability is not weakness—but it is often treated as leverage.

This record will address how disability and disability-related rights intersected with authority, child welfare involvement, and institutional decision-making.

It will document where accommodations failed, where understanding was absent, and where power was exercised without adequate safeguards.

This is not an accusation in itself.

It is an examination—based on lived reality and documented consequence.

The Child Comes First

Every word in this record is filtered through one priority: the safety, dignity, and long-term well-being of my child.

That is why details are measured.

That is why names are not always spoken.

That is why timing matters.

Protection is not silence.

Protection is responsible truth.

What Comes Next

In the next episodes, I will begin documenting:

  • Timelines

  • Key decisions and turning points

  • Institutional involvement

  • Patterns that emerge when these events are viewed together

Each episode will build on the last.

Nothing will be isolated.

Nothing will be out of context.

This record is cumulative.

Closing

This is not a story being told.

This is a record being preserved.

Because what is documented cannot be erased.

Thank you for listening.
